NHP Code of Conduct WHICH APPLIES TO: COACHES - PLAYERS - SPECTATORS

ARTICLE XI:
Section 3:
All Head & Assistant Coaches must adhere to the code of conduct as described in the OFFICIAL RULES OF IN-LINE HOCKEY BOOK.
Section 4:
Coaches should be concerned as much as possible with as close to equal playing time as is possible for all players.
Section 5:
Coaches must, in the spirit of good sportsmanship, ensure that all players shake hands at the end of every game.
Section 6:
NHP will allow a maximum of three (3) registered coaches behind the team bench area during any and all games.
Section 7:
Coaches are not allowed to smoke at any time in or around the team rink area.
ARTICLE XII:
Section 1:
All Officials must be certified by USA Hockey.
Section 2:
Officials are ( not ) obligated to explain their calls to Players, coaches or spectators.
Section 3:
Abuse of Officials will not be tolerated at any time. Any player, coach or spectator who participates in the abuse of
any Official will be subject to the penalties stated in the OFFICIAL RULES OF IN-LINE HOCKEY RULEBOOK and by any additional
penalties decided on by the Grievance Committee.
Section 4:
Officials will not be allowed to smoke at any time, in or around the rink, in which they are involved in officiating an NHP
sanctioned game.
Section 5:
Officials will refrain, as much as possible, from any interaction (verbal or otherwise) with players, coaches and spectators
before, during or after any game.
ARTICLE XIII: Section 1:
1) Spectators
are there to support the players and to set an example of sportsmanship. 2) Spectators are not allowed on the playing
surface at any time. 3) Spectators are not allowed on the players bench side of the rink during games. 4)
Spectators are not allowed behind the goals at either end of the rink during games. 5) Spectators must not interfere
with any player or coach during a game. Interference can be physical or verbal.
ARTICLE XIV: PLAYERS, COACHES, SPECTATORS
1) All players,coaches
and spectators are reminded that all USA In-Line Hockey Rules and NHP By-Laws will be in effect BEFORE, DURING and AFTER any
and all NHP sanctioned games. This simply means, that a violation by any player, coach or spectator can be dealt with in accordance
of the rules.
2) Any PLAYER,
COACH or SPECTATOR that, in the judgment of an official or a Director of NHP, willingly throws any equipment on, off or around
the playing surface will be assessed a Five (5) minute major penalty. This penalty can be carried over from one game to the
next in order to allow that player/team to serve the entire penalty. For any spectator involved in such action the penalty
will be served by the player they are related too. If in the opinion of the Official or Board Member, the equipment is
thrown in the direction of another player or spectator a game misconduct penalty shall be assessed to the offending player.
First offense for such actions will be a (5) minute penalty. A second offense will be (10) minute major penalty and a possible
suspension. The NHP Grievance Committee will review all after the third infraction.
GENERAL CONDUCT:
1. No swearing
or abusive language on the bench, rink area, parking lot.
2. No lashing out at any official no matter what the
call is. The coaching staff will handle all matters pertaining to officiating.
3. Anyone who receives a penalty
will skate directly to the penalty box.
4. Fighting
will not be tolerated. Fighting will result in an appearance before the NHP Discipline Committee.
5. Any player or team official who cannot abide by these rules or violates them will
be subject to further disciplinary actions.
I fully understand that I may be subject to banishment from NHP at any time, which will
result in forfeiting any money due to my behavior.
